Model 3830 Wheel & Tire Radial Load Machine

Overview

The LINK Radial Fatigue Machine is capable of reproducing the radial forces acting on wheels and tires to evaluate their integrity. This road wheel type machine functions by applying a controllable load to the test wheel and tire normal to the surface of the road wheel and inline radially with the center of the test article. Additionally, the rotational axis of both the test article and road wheel are parallel.

The radial load is applied and controlled by means of a servo valve, hydraulic cylinder and hydraulic power unit. Tire pressure can be controlled through automatic inflation and deflation systems.

The test article must perform a minimum number of test cycles without test termination due to fatigue cracking or inability to maintain test load.

Options

  • Yaw and camber control
